This is a most excellent series, great not just for helping to understand physics and chemistry better, but it is also very thought-provoking and intellectually stimulating. It goes to great length to tell the human stories behind how we have tried to measure things with greater precision and accuracy, the benefits to such developments, and the challenges inherent in trying to measure, understand, or even define things in terms that are both meaningful and useful. I found it well-made and entertaining, and I believe it is great for helping students (or anyone!) understand a wide variety of concepts -not just the obvious ones- by demonstrating the thought processes *underneath* the science. I highly recommend this series for everyone (just ignore the presenter's unfortunate mispronunciation of "nuclear!")
