The Magical Mystery Tour album is much better than the film. All of the songs are great, but I suppose I love "I Am the Walrus," "Hello Goodbye," "Your Mother Should Know," and the title track best.
Originally released in 1967 - "Magical Mystery Tour" would be the Beatles' 9th studio album. And just like "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" which was released earlier that same year - This offering from the Fab Four was, of course, a commercial success, as well.
The songs contained on this CD are clearly the Beatles' answer to the psychedelic craze that was quickly gaining popularity at this point in the decade that was known as the Swinging 60s.
Out of the 11 tracks featured on this disc - 2 of my favourites are - "I Am The Walrus" and "Penny Lane".
Goo goo g'joob!
Strawberry Fields, nothing is real and nothing to get hung about
This is my favorite Beatles album. Penny Lane, The Fool On The Hill, Strawberry Filesd Forever, All you need is love. All classics.
These four men hit lighting in a bottle for many years. Will never see the likes of them again.
