Terrible reading-so many characters

I’ve read all the NYPD Red series and enjoyed every one of them. I also read the Women’s Murder Club. It’s an enjoyable read as well. There were two storylines in this book that kept it interesting. Very quick read.

Marshal Karp is one of Patterson's better co-authors and 'NYPD Red' is one of the last few series of Patterson's I will read. I still like the main characters, although how long they can play them remains to be seen. There is a danger they will become too predictable, then boring.

'NYPD Red 6' has two main plots and one subplot. One of the main plots you can see coming from a mile away, the other surprised me.

The writing is pretty taut and much more cohesive than with other, more recent co-authors.

'NYPD Red 6' is a fast, 3.50 stars read. You won't be sorry you read it, but, as with most of Patterson's series, you probably won't remember it after the next few books you read.

Story is slow, hard time holding my interest.

If I were James Patterson, I would be embarrassed to put my name on such a "fluff" book.

Good story as anticipated. Only negative is too many characters, some of whom could have been eliminated and not changed the good story that was told.

Very entertaining read. Interesting story line and Patterson/Karp's usual cast of NYPD Red characters are funny, smart and very committed. If you are looking for a relaxing read, this is a good one. Except for touching on the idea of a police unit whose primary purpose is to serve the high and mighty, which is anathema to me, it's fun.

NYPD RED 6 is the most boring James Patterson book I have read and I have read just about all that he has written. Needless to say, I was very disappointed.

Another co-authored book by JP and that waters it down. If he writes by himself they're entertaining. This book seemed to be too disjointed and slow. Come on James, you can do better than this.
