"The mayor of New York has a daughter who's missing and in danger. Detective Michael Bennett has a son who's in prison. The two strike a deal. Bennett and the mayor have always had a tense relationship, but now the mayor sees in Bennett a discreet investigator with family worries of his own. Just one father helping another. The detective leaps into the case and sources lead him to a homicide in the Bronx. The victim has ties to a sophisticated hacking operation -- and also to the mayor's missing daughter, Natalie, a twenty-one-year-old computer prodigy. The murder is part of a serial killing spree, one with national security implications. And suddenly Bennett is at the center of a dangerous triangle anchored by NYPD, FBI, and a transnational criminal organization. Michael Bennett has always been an honorable man, but sometimes -- when the lives of innocents are at stake -- honor has to take a back seat. Survival comes first."--Provided by publisher.

I really enjoyed this book! Detective Michael Bennett is a super detective for sure but I love a book where good wins over evil.
Add to that it was heart warmingly family oriented ~ full of love & support & good Christian values. Loved it.

A nice easy read. Michael Bennett an NYPD detective heads to foreign lands and miraculously achieves what he sets out to do. Do read the book till the very end because there is closure only at the very end.

Michael Bennett is one of the few characters created by James Patterson that I still read. He's my favorite character of the dozens Patterson and his many, many co-writers have created. However, as in 'Ambush', the disconnect between Patterson and co-author James O. Born is still painfully evident in 'Blindside'. The Bennett books in which Patterson paired with Michael Ledwidge are infinitely better.

Bennett is my favorite Patterson character because he knows exactly who he is. Or, at least, he did. In 'Blindside' Bennett starts off as who he is but along the line he morphs into thinking he is a super-hero, Jack Morgan, another Patterson character, of the Private series. What I love about the real Bennett is that he knows he is not a superhero. Traipsing half way around the world and roaming around Estonia to find a girl while battling bad guys in unlikely ways is simply not who he is nor how he lives.

On the other hand, Bennett is still devoted to those he loves. He is only a bit less obsessive about profusely reminding us about it than he is in 'Ambush'.

It would be interesting to find out which author is Catholic. Bennett freely talks about his faith, his blessings and his gratitude for them. I appreciate that greatly.

Only 3 stars because Bennett is off track and needs to find his way back (with Michael Ledwidge!)

This is perhaps the best of the Detective Michael Bennett stories I have read - and I have liked them all. No spoilers from me. Patterson and James O. Born have put together a really engaging and fun read with a suspenseful story line involving murder and a hacking operation. And always in the background of the Michael Bennett series, are his very diverse and large family and his efforts to balance work and family. That's a fun group of people, and I love his grandmother and the priest characters. Have a fun read.

Ten out of ten. Reads like a dream. I am very interested in reading this book.
