Okey-dokey, watcha got here is the darkly humorous and utterly riveting third season. Ewan McGregor gives one heckuva performance in dual roles as the ₁Parking Lot King of Minnesota,₂ Emmit Stussy, and his younger brother, Ray, a potbellied parole officer with a big chip on his shoulder. The only bright spot in Ray₂s life is Nikki, a not-so-good woman with brains, beauty and a passion for competitive bridge.

This was so-so compared to the 1st season. I thought it was very good until about 3/4 of a way through when it went off the tracks a bit- which is why I rated it 3 stars.

I love me some Ewan McGregor and will literally watch him in ANYthing just because that's how good he is at what he does but even I was stumped with his performance in the third FARGO. However, when I went back and watched the entire series on OnDemand it all made more sense to me what exactly not only McGregor was doing with his subtle twin roles but also the perspectives of the writers and director. We were all expecting every FARGO to be like Texas Chainsaw Massacre and instead we found ourselves embroiled in small town, small mob, twin stamp stealing minor mystery plot. Not exactly the slaughter and carnage were hoping for but if you stop waiting for the carnage and just watch what happens next, you'll enjoy the ride a lot better.
