Like all teenagers, the students at Coal Hill Academy have hidden secrets and desires. They are facing their own worst fears, navigating a life of friends, parents, school, sex, sorrow and possibly the end of existence. The very walls of space and time are starting to thin. Something is pressing on the other side: something waiting for its chance to kill everyone and everything, to bring us all into Shadow.

I was skeptical going into this show, knowing that it had been cancelled after one season. But in the end I was happy I'd watched it. I LOVED the Miss Quill character. Most of the acting was good and the characters were interesting. I especially liked the "casual diversity" of the show, meaning that it managed to incorporate characters of multiple ethnicities and sexualities quite naturally, without coming off as forced. Sadly the big bads of the season (the Shadow Kin) were honestly kind of a weak/uninteresting storyline and there was a fair bit of teen angst which doesn't really interest me.

Class has no class. Abysmal. Pitifully puerile. Downright laughable. Having Dr Who traipse through the set doesn't lend even a patina of respectability to this silly production. All of which points to widespread popularity among sizeable elements of the population which are, although rapidly ageing, still rooted in juvenile mode emotionally. Look no further if you're seeking to zone out of reality via inane physical/mental gymnastics. On that basis, this series delivers! As regards the BBC, plumbing a new low.

Do you like Dr. Who?? You will like Class. The teens are not like silly American teens leave it to the British to come up with teens that act like young adults. A good adventure to watch.
