Of course, that was before she realized what one little rescue would get her into...Marcus Graden has been an Immortal protector of humanity for eight hundred years, and he's not interested in backup. From the moment Ami arrives in his life, he can't deny that she's strong, smart, and extremely skilled at watching his back. This is the first book that I have read by Dianne Duvall. I did enjoy the story. The series is about Immortals and vampires. Ami has been assigned to Marcus as his second. Her job is to help him in any way that he needs. She shows remarkable strength when she fights along side of him. Their romance grows as well. Can't tell you anymore about Ami because I don't want to give anything away. I am looking forward to the next book.
