Since writing a book about his old home town, Millom's strange history, he decided to extend the view to include the rest of Cumbria. Although Cumbria didn't receive the mauling Millom got from the press, it is still a 'wonky' place. So he wrote a tourist mis-guide, which got a bit of a mauling from a critic, 'Jameater' from up North, who made a 'recommendation' for the next critic, which was 'drink several double whiskies before reading (perhaps if he doesn't, he may go mad when his brain tries to process Frankie's effortless hyperbole). Therefore, to make it easier for the next critic, Frankie took on board Jameater's advice and had several drinks while reworking the book. It is now in the same format, but called the alcohol anaesthetised 'critic' friendly 'Tipsy Trip'; and is the best tourist guide ever written, anywhere, ever (it will never be equalled). So, this is a tourist guide with a bit of a difference id est it's entertaining as well as being informative. There are high hopes here. He may be awarded an OBE for services to tourism. Certainly there will be a statue at some point, or maybe two?! One which people can see when they drive into Cumbria, and one in Millom. He will also consider being an ambassador, if there are perks id est chauffeur driven Aston Martin and free drinks wherever he goes. Well, he has worked hard for the place, and I would say that he has done for Cumbria what Morecambe and wise did for Andrew Preview, and for Millom what Morecambe and Wise did for Des O'Connor. Actually, if one statue is cast in solid bronze, then several, not a puny two, can be cast from that one mould ...then, all the Cumbrian towns he has helped (because they couldn't help themselves in quite the same inspired way) can have one, for pride of place in the centres. Think of the jobs created, including the polishers who will apply a high sheen every week to reflect his personality and soul connection. Think of the tourism this will attract. The plaques would say ... Frankie Lassut, Saviour of Cumbria and the Lake District, and Saviour of Millom especially. The Bank Holiday date? We will have to discuss that with the Councils. What great ideas! October-Aurora-Sunrise (Frankie's friend and recommended ... I met him in the Country Landowner's tent at the Ragley Hall Game Fair. October isn't my real name, and you'd maybe be shocked if you knew who I was. --Provided by publisher.
