I really wanted to like this due to the hype, and there were some great ideas, but I found the story with Blue and Red to be far more compelling than the main narrative....I suppose it would have made more sense with the music videos and album. I far prefer the Umbrella Academy.

This is probably the best comic book series ever. The art is great and the story is amazing.

One of the most interesting things I've read in quite some time. Gerard Way never seems to disappoint me.

I really enjoyed the story. It almost gave off a "Tank Girl"kind of vibe. I found to be world and the characters to be well developed. I definitely recommend watching the My Chemical Romance music videos that go along with this world. At some points the story lacked details but overall it was enjoyable.

If it weren't for the comment below, I'd have no way of knowing there was a first part of this (the album and it's videos). As it was, the story was confusing in places but really enjoyable. The art was bright and interesting and very emotive. The dialogue could be a little... overly dramatic at times, but still very enjoyable. I will have to be checking out the album next to get the background info.

"The future is bulletproof, the aftermath is secondary. It's time to do it now and do it loud. Killjoys, make some noise."

To the sorry few that haven't read this book and it's album, the above will seem like a code, or a bunch of random words slung together. To those that have listened and read the previously mentioned, you will have heard these words and sing, dance, scream, and cry. This book follows the story after the story in the My Chemical Romance album Danger Days. It is an odd concept, having an album and a comic linked in such a way, but it is done seamlessly. Gerard Way (lead singer of My Chemical Romance) and Shaun Simon weave together a beautifully crafted story that is only enhanced by the art of Becky Cloonan. I recommend this book to fans of action, fans of amazing art, rebels, and all those in love with Rock and Roll.

Just a side note, but I would recommend listening to the album and watch it's corresponding music videos. They will really help explain the backstory a bit, as that isn't really explained in the book. (My only negative point.)
