Armed with Buffy's broken scythe, Willow has entered another dimension and begun a quest to somehow, some way, against all odds, bring magic back to Earth. She must keep her darkest self at bay while she battles demons - the scaly and horned type, as well as her own! This book collects the five-issue miniseries. Season Nine continues with Willow's story! Ching, much like Parker, captures the essence of Willow Rosenberg and adds the magic (and the monsters) to the mystical wonderland in which our witch finds herself stranded.-iFanboy Brian Ching's attractive artwork has strong transitions and his drawing of Buffyverse characters strikes a great balance between recognizable faces and keeping his own distinctive line intact. Michelle Madsen's colors are also easy on the eye. -Comic Book Resources. --Provided by publisher.

The story and writing isn't spectacular but is a fun 25 minute read. The villain was cool as it is a surprise from her past, meaning the television series.

A miniseries tie-in to the Buffy universe features Willow on a quest of her own in another world, trying to restore magic. It ties in an unlikely character from the TV series along the way, and features strong writing from Parker and Gage. They are backed by good art that plays up the dreamlike world she's in, and their script emphasizes the character and rings true to her inner voice.
