Add a CommentI gave this 3 stars - it is entertaining enough if you like Bill & Ted. Seeing their daughters in their own Bill/Ted way is a hoot. Couples therapy with both couples together was hilarious. Reconciling with death - again, hilarious. Had some real laughs out of this. It didn't feel as 'magical' as the first Bill & Ted, but it will still delight fans of the original.
A “most crappy movie dude”. 10 minutes into the movie I was hoping John Wick would appear and put this movie to rest
This movie is great. The supporting cast is pretty good and I am surprised by how well Reeves and Winter reprise their roles as "other us's." The plot is decent enough to be funny and humorous. I think if you liked the first 2 films, you will certainly enjoy this one. It has humor, charm, suspension of belief and (of course) history + time travel. I think they could have done more with the history part, but it was a good movie nonetheless. Perhaps it's a movie of nostalgia more than anything, but it still resonates with my inner 90s kid.
This movie came out nearly 30 years after Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey, yet it somehow managed to recapture the charm and humor of the first two films in the series.
It was lacking, but then again I didn't expect too much for a "Bill and Ted's" movie. It may be worth a watch just to round out the trilogy but I wouldn't pay to see it. Bill and Ted spend the movie trying to figure out the song they were supposed to create to unite the world. They travel to see other versions of themselves to try to get to that point, with their daughters (and wives) also traveling with a similar goal. Love the Dave Grohl cameo!
The original Bill and Ted movies, while very silly, were still quite entertaining due to the overriding sense of glee that permeated all of the action. In contrast, this one is dead on arrival. The pace is downright glacial, and Bill and Ted are basically just blinking statues. The jolly ignorance that worked so well with cheerful young men falls flat with these middle age zombies. I gave up on it halfway. Don't bother; go watch the originals.
If a movie could rate negative 5 stars, this would be that movie. Horrible doesn't even begin to describe how truly bad this movie was. You would do better to rent a movie of grass growing. It would have more entertainment value that this movie.
This is very much in the spirit of the first two movies.
Sadly, this final instalment of Bill & Ted lacked a lot of things. Decent acting, a real plot, and was just dull in some parts. I'm glad I didn't decide to buy it.
We rented this from Amazon, and thank goodness we didn't just buy it outright! While is was funny in some parts, it was lame in others. Total disappointment! The "robot" was stupid, the different versions of Bill & Ted weren't all that interesting, and it lacked plot. Sure, they're supposed to create a song that will bring everyone together, but that's been the plot since the beginning.
