How do rulers come to power, stay in power, and what leads to their ends? This book attempts to show the machinations of global politics with a keen eye fixed on incentives and motives for individuals at the top. This CGP Grey video is a nice primer for the book and was where i heard of it. https://youtu.be/rStL7niR7gs

A very cynical book on a politician's political expediency-gaining and rewarding supporters, staying in power, and other delightfully dark facts about the game of thrones.
I think (or want to think) the authors are a bit off on motives, but it is a very good book and occasionally amusing and entertaining (i read it to my girlfriend at night). Judge us if you want, but first have a go at it.

Wow. Looking at politics in a whole new light. Everyone that cares about the country they live in should read this.
