Cute for young boys but very contrived and not much intellectual merit

All about love, very boring.

... THIS LITTLE SERIES is not to be missed. Charming and funny, it takes us back to 1950s England, to one of those impossibly picturesque rural villages, where life is uncomplicated, uneventful and peaceful. If, for nothing else, watching this series takes you on an idyllic vacation to a dreamland time and place, where all is good an beautiful; it's truly a breath of the very freshest and most innocent air.

Based on the "Just William" book series by Richmal Crompton, this DVD is a must see. Just William is seen through the eyes of protagonist William a ten-year old schoolboy. Interstingly enough, these books were John Lennon's favourite reads when he was a boy and are purported to be a huge influence on his life and creativity.
