Interesting movie, if a little slow. With all of the time jumps seems more like a dramatized documentary, just missing the voice-overs and background info., than a 'movie'. Very well done, though, and highlights a part of the war that gets little attention.

One of the criticisms of Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk (worth seeing in Imax format) is a lack of character development. Max Manus -- yes, that was his name -- the heroic Norwegian resistance leader, has character depth to spare. The pace is on the slow side, and the action/suspence scenes are average. But the young actors, many of whom look astonishingly like their real-life originals, give sensitive and true performances, especially Aksel Hennie, Norway's answer to Steve Buschemi.

An amazing true World War II story of the Norwegian Underground successfully disrupting the German War effort. Max Manus is not only a Norwegian War Hero but is a hero for all of us to remember. His accomplishments were of a man who gave all he had for his country. A really must see movie!

Excellent war movie about the obstacles and bravery of resistance fighters in Norway. The acting was great. Superb action blended with just the right amount of romance that was part of the real-life tribulations of Max Manus. For more in-depth background, read the wikipedia page for Vidkun Quisling. That will explain why Norway did not fight when the Nazi's invaded.

APPRECIATE A TRUE STORY. JUST AWFUL WHAT NORWAY HAD TO ENDURE WITH NAZI OCCUPATION. BRAVE MEN GOING UP AGAINST INSURMOUNTABLE ODDS. 113 MINUTE MOVIE. RECAP AT THE END VERY INTERESTING.

Easily one of the best war movies I have seen. And based on a true story. The disabling of the German warships and rail lines in Norway was a major reason why WWII ended.

This is a great war movie and it has German's in it and naturally they are Nazis or else the movie could not be released in Canada. Yay! Not your typical war picture though probably better than the over the top Saving Private Ryan or the like. About a group of uderground fighters in Norway during WW2.

Enjoyable old-fashioned war yarn.
