it's a good travel guide, but it's a pretty 'boring' book. I guess i was expecting more pictures of these places, but all the text and words were not helping.

the bottom line is, it's a good reference, but not too much in the entertainment department.

This is an interesting book, with a somewhat misleading title. I agree that one should visit the Grand Canyon, but I'm not sure why/how it will "disappear?" Some of the descriptions sound like there are truly endangered places, that I will visit sooner having read the book.
