Book - 2011
Rate this:
As Montenegro approaches its fifth anniversary of independence, the nation is actively pursuing membership in both the NATO and the EU, and looks to become a useful, contributing partner in both organizations. As part of that effort, over the past three years the U.S. Army War College's traveling contact teams have assisted the Armed Forces of Montenegro in the areas of joint staff structure, strategic planning processes, and national strategy reviews. As they strengthened their internal processes, the Montenegro Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces General Staff have come to recognize the key role that interagency cooperation plays in the execution of national policy and in the response to natural and manmade disasters.
