A classic. Never gets stale.
Originally released back in 1970 (to critical acclaim) John Barleycorn Must Die would be Traffic's 4th studio album, which sold very well on both sides of the Atlantic.
Traffic (who disbanded in 1975) were an English rock band whose lead singer, Steve Winwood, was also the group's chief songwriter and front-man, as well.
The music showcased in John Barleycorn Must Die is an easy-listening blend of progressive rock, mixed generously with touches of jazz fusion, and shades of folk rock, to round things off.
Out of the 8 tracks available on this vintage CD, 3 of my favorites are - Freedom Rider, Empty Pages, and John Barleycorn Must Die.
