The first bar of music from the opening track Get Away hooked me and captured me into this amazing album by the English alternative rock band Yuck. Every track after that fulfilled the idea of a child between Japandroids and Elliot Smith in a fun and poppy dimension, but oozing metaphors and visual depictions of life. There are some catchy songs. There are some loving songs. And there are songs that are a combination of the two, like Stuck and Suicide Policeman. This album is feel-good and hyped up. Definitely fun and definitely compelling.
