A great historical survey of the world's railways via their maps and charts!

The book gives a good sampling of the depth and breadth of rail maps available across the planet since railways were first built. Many styles, many artistic hands, across the decades.

Well worth your time.

Comprehensive, but my husband and I both agree that having larger maps would make this an excellent book. A much larger book, to be sure, but much more interesting. Well, the schematic rail lines needn't be enlarged, because they don't tell you any geography anyway.
