A fascinating look at the early life and times of Al Capone, from the creation of his first protection racket at the tender age of 11 (not kidding!) to his rise to the top of the Chicago Outfit. Lots of lovely period detail, plus hordes of litte anecdotes that make you wonder how the authors got thier information. Quick, fun read for anyone interested in the heydays of organized crime and Chicago history.
