Pop! Gum was not always the child-friendly and fun thing that we know it as today. Find out about this tasty treat's origins, from the chewy substance of ancient times to the modern bubble-making sort that Walter Diemer created. Acrylic paint and caricatures give a whimsical appeal to this whimsical topic. In fact, all the people have pink, rounded faces just like bubble gum. Additional facts are included in the back. Children will enjoy learning about the history, process of trial and error, and the man that succeeded in making a "food" that is more fun than practical.
